US Air Force Academy
Dr. Jim Solti currently serves as Chief Scientist at the United States Air Force Academy. In this capacity, Dr. Solti works to ensure the technical integrity, program integration and promotion of USAFA’s multi-million dollar research enterprise. He also serves as the Academy’s lead for the Air Force’s new Cyber Innovation Center initiative. Dr. Solti is a 1988 Air Force Academy graduate with a background in computational mechanics and benefits from a unique and varied 25-year military career, which included service in Iraq, an overseas tour, basic research, program management and leadership at many levels. He has earned four graduate degrees and is a licensed Professional Engineer. His last active duty position was heading up the Weapons and Capabilities Division for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) at Eglin Air Force Base in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida.
